Terms of service

Last updated: 8 May 2026

These terms govern your use of Sendly (“the Service”) at sendlycloud.com. By uploading a file or creating an account you agree to them.

1. The service

Sendly lets you upload files and share them with recipients via a download link or an email notification. Files have an expiry date and are permanently deleted after it.

2. Acceptable use

You must not use Sendly to upload, store or share content that:

  • infringes anyone's copyright, trademark or other intellectual property;
  • contains malware, viruses or anything designed to harm a recipient;
  • is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or sexually exploits minors (CSAM);
  • violates anyone's privacy or breaches confidentiality obligations you owe;
  • attempts to overload, attack, reverse-engineer or otherwise abuse the Service.

We may remove content and terminate accounts that breach these rules, with or without notice, and may report serious violations to the appropriate authorities.

3. Your content

You keep all rights to the files you upload. You grant Sendly a limited licence to store, transmit and deliver them solely to operate the Service — i.e. to make them available to the people you send them to until they expire.

You are responsible for the content you upload and for having the right to share it with the recipients you choose.

4. Free and Pro plans

  • The free plan allows transfers up to 2 GB and a 7-day expiry. No payment required.
  • The Pro plan unlocks larger transfers, longer expiry and a verified sender identity, billed monthly via Stripe.
  • You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time from the Account page; you keep Pro features until the end of the current billing period. We do not issue refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
  • Prices may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5. Availability

We aim to keep Sendly available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend the Service for maintenance, security or legal reasons.

6. Disclaimer & liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sendly is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of EUR 50 or the amount you paid us in that period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

7. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate your access if you breach these terms. On termination, transfers continue to expire on their existing schedule and are then deleted as normal.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. Consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in their country of residence.
